By the thousands, fans call on Rockstar Games to bring open-world action game to PC platform.

Grand Theft Auto V is currently scheduled only for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but thousands and thousands of gamers are calling for the open-world action game to come to PC. A petition posted to Change.org calls on Rockstar Games to bring GTAV to PC and has more than 50,000 signatures as of press time.

“Please release GTA V on PC,” the petition begins. “GTA games have been a large part of so many peoples lives and it’s a big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform. Things like modifications have always been a huge part of PC gaming and modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have.”

Last week, Rockstar Games cofounder Dan Houser said PC and Wii U versions of GTAV were “up for consideration.” The most recent entry, 2008’s Grand Theft Auto IV, released for PC seven months after the console versions shipped.
